See scan - perfect condition. This is an absolutely scarce circa turn of the century Edwardian era Imperial Russian gold cufflink set with ropes and anchors design and a typical NAVY / nautical appearence. Our sources say that the pair belonged to an Imperial Russian NAVY ship Captain / Commander who fought during the Russian Japanese War in 1905 and the cuffs were recently discovered in Japan. At reverse of one of the cuffs there is the Imperial Russian '56' 14 karat gold mark, as well as a very faint part of the assay and master initials that appears to be a 'W' - most likely part of the Wingstrom mark and being one of the top Faberge jewelers. The mark is very faint indeed due to wear and age, but was identified under 20x magnification. The cufflinks have a nice large diameter of 20mm each and both weigh a nice and heavy 13.8 grams of gold. We have seen similar gold anchor cufflinks belonging to crew officer of one of the Royal Nicholas II Yachts. The set is GUARANTEED LIFETIME AUTHENTIC Imperial Russian cufflinks pair.
