Item description:

See scan - very good condition for this rare Bulgarian Royal order. This is the Bravery order 3rd Class 2nd Grade 1943 - 1945 REGENCY type with wreath instead of crown. At that time there were 3 regents and the infant Simeon II (now Bulgaria's Prime Minister). This Regent issue was awarded to highest bravery during WWII with Greece, Rumania and Serbia / Yugoslavia and the fight against NAZI Germany after the turn of the war in 1944. At that time Bulgaria became a Soviet Russia ally, but was still under strong German influence. The order has a wreath instead of a crown since there was no King to the thrown due to Boris III death in 1943 and the Kingdom remained so until 1946. Probably one of the rarest issues and a true collector item. It is very much distinguished by the wreath at top and special hook, as well as the lower grade and quality enameling. Scarce.
